amplifier circuit using 2sc2922:
This is an amplifier circuit using 2sc2922. This circuit can produce 500 watts using 50-0-50 voltage and 10 amperes. it’s a mono diagram. here used 4 transistors all are 2sc2922 positive transistors.
The transistor 2SC2922:
The material of the transistor is Si
The polarity is NPN
The maximum Collector Power Dissipation is 200W.
The maximum Collector-Base Voltage is 180V.
The maximum Collector Current max is 17A.
The max operating Junction Temperature is 150 °C.
The transition Frequency is 25 MHz.
The Current Transfer Ratio (hFE), MIN is 33.
All resistors are used 1/2 watts. 51 ohms are 3 watts. 4.7 ohms are 1 watts. 10 ohms 1 watts. we also can use 2sc5200 transistors. This circuit doesn’t have speaker protection. here need a speaker protection circuit. here is the link to get the speaker protection circuit. Diagram is here
This is the Speaker protection circuit diagram. It can protect our Speaker from the burn. if the amplifier has any problem then this circuit can save our soundbox. Normally when the transistor makes a short circuit the voltage comes out from the speaker output line then this circuit protects that voltage. This circuit should not allow any direct voltage to be sent to the speaker. This circuit is very important for protecting the speaker.
The diagram
we can use 20-0-20 voltage to 50-0-50 voltage and 3 amperes. for the stereo amplifier, we need a dual circuit. we know that voltage X amperes= watts. then 20 voltage 3 ampere= 20X3=60 watts. 30X3=90 watts. normally we can use 50-0-50 and 10amperes. voltage to get a good performance. 50X10=500 watts. we can use more voltage also. This transistor can take a maximum 180-0-180 voltage. but this circuit can’t take more than 70-0-70 voltage.
