How to Build Step-Down Transformers with Calculations:
here we are going to build a step-down transformer. this is a classic transformer. classic transformer made by E-core and the I-core. this type of transformer has a bobbin. we wind the wire to this bobbin. we have to calculate the bobbin size.
this is the rule to calculate the bobbin. and there are rules to figure out the wire turns. here 42 is the all-size transformer calculation key. we have to divide the 42/ core area. here core area is 15. so, 42/15=2.8. 2.8 turns wire needed for 1 voltage.
Here the primary winding is ready. It needs 616 turns wire for the primary 220 volts. because we need 2.8 turns wire for 1 voltage. 2.8X220=616.
This is the E core for this transformer
Now the secondary is ready
We made 50-0-50 voltage.
