this is the circuit diagram for making ac to dc voltage. this is a step-down transformer. always we have to use a step-down transformer to use the voltage. our primary voltage is ac 220. normally we need lower voltage. like 12 volts /24 volts /35 volts. here we make dc 12 voltage. we use one half-wave transformer to make ac 220 to ac 12 voltage. and we use 4 diodes. we make a small diagram to make a bridge diode. and we use 4 pf to make pure dc voltage. we use a 25-voltage capacitor. 

12 voltage is common in electronics.
