This is an audio equalizer and amplifier circuit diagram. It’s one of the best circuit diagrams for the audio amplifier. This circuit has 4 adjustable vol. 1st one is for the volume. 2nd one is for the bass. 3rd one is for the mid-range. And the fourth one is for the trouble. This circuit runs with 12 volts only. This note provides an overview of an Active Tone Control Circuit (often based on the Baxandall design) used in audio preamplifiers to allow a user to adjust the signal’s frequency response across three distinct bands: Bass, Mid-range, and Treble. A circuit like this typically utilizes an Operational Amplifier (Op-Amp), such as the 4558D or NE5532, to provide gain and create an active filter network within its negative feedback loop.
The core of the tone control is a network of Resistors (R) and Capacitors (C) whose impedance changes with frequency. Variable resistors (Potentiometers – VR) are used to adjust the amount of signal that passes through these frequency-dependent paths, thereby boosting or cutting the corresponding band.

Bass (Low Frequencies): Boosts or cuts frequencies typically below 200Hz. The control potentiometer (VR) is connected in series with a large-value capacitor (e.g., 100 nF to 220 nF), which effectively blocks higher frequencies from being adjusted.
Mid-Range (Mids): Boosts or cuts frequencies typically between 500Hz and 2.5kHz. This band requires a Band-Pass filtering network, where the potentiometer is linked between a high-pass and a low-pass section to isolate the middle frequencies.
Treble (High Frequencies): Boosts or cuts frequencies typically above 2 kHz to 20kHz. The control potentiometer is connected in series with a small-value capacitor (e.g.1nF to 10 nF, which allows high frequencies to pass easily but blocks lower ones.
