This is a DIY transformer for an amplifier. These are the winding rules for toroidal transformers. It’s a 2400 watts transformer. We are going to make a 50-0-50 voltage transformer for an amplifier. Here, the core area is 7 × 7 = 49 cm. 49X49=2401. This core can produce 2401 watts. Maximum 20-gauge wire can be used here.

We can use 35 to 42 as a calculation rule, depending on the core quality. If the core quality is bad, then we have to use 35. or the core quality is good then 42. Here we are using 38. The core area is 49. then 49/38= 1.2. 1.2 turns are needed for 1 volt. Our AC voltage is 220, so 220 x 1.2 = 264. 264 turns are needed for the primary AC 220 voltage.

We are going to make 50-0-50 voltage. then 50X1.2=60. 60 turns of wire are needed for 50 volts. 50+50 100 turns needed. Then 60+60=120 turns are needed. First 60 turns, then again 60 turns.
The wire gauge number is

How to Build Step-Down Transformers with Calculations:
Here we are going to build a step-down transformer. This is a classic transformer. classic transformer is made with an E-core and an I-core. This type of transformer has a bobbin. We wind the wire on this bobbin. We have to calculate the bobbin size.
